Windows 11 Pro accessibility features
Through hardware and software, Windows 11 Pro for education is a combination of everything people love about Microsoft, with an edge for accessibility and learning.
“Windows 11 is the most secure Windows ever, the most secure Windows devices we have. It has improved accessibility features. Windows 10 already had five times more accessibility features than our competitor, and—at no additional charge—Windows 11 has even more of those features,” Kelly says.
These features include:
Live captioning
Touchscreen
Voice typing
And more
Windows 11 maintains versatility while delivering a simplified user experience, creating an accessible and cohesive workflow for students and educators.
How Windows 11 Pro handles security
Cybersecurity is a significant concern for educators, and Microsoft understands the gravity of keeping student data safe. 13% of U.S. educational institutions have reported a type of ransomware attack, the largest percentage across any other sector.
"It blocks unsafe sites, it blocks phishing attacks—it's funny because they have the defender where it pops up, it's red, saying ‘Don't! Bad site!’ It's very intuitive for kids to know, ‘Oh, this is a bad site.’ It's secure for everyone,” Kelly says.
With Windows Pro 11 for education, Microsoft has gone to great lengths to ensure students maintain their privacy and can learn with their—and their parents—peace of mind intact.

Looking beyond the secure foundation and accessibility features for students, we find instructional tools for educators, including Teams for Education.
“This is not to be confused with Teams, we all know Teams—but Teams for Education is different. It works as an LMS [learning management software/system] where teachers can assign homework, talk to their students, and grade assignments within us,” Kelly says.
Teams for Education helps prepare students for the future, introducing them to tools and software present in many companies today. When they enter the job market, they’ll have a grasp on some of the most prevalent systems in use.
